A Successful Garden Club Annual Plant Sale
On Saturday, March 16, the Deep Creek Garden Club held our annual plant sale on Kings Highway in the front of the Winn Dixie Plaza. The entire membership pitched in to set up for this event that morning and most stayed to work throughout the day. Prana Farms was our plant vendor bringing in over 400 plants. Besides all the plants, we had 6 vendors from orchids to pottery and crafts which made for a nice variety of items for residents to choose. Our members also supplied plants from their personal yard that were a big hit with our customers. This has always been our biggest event of the year, and it always amazes me how well we do and how the members step up to the plate to make this a success. Sylvia Kelsey was the organizer, but I know she will agree, it would never have worked if it weren’t for the entire club’s support. Although we were all exhausted by the time we headed home that afternoon, we’re already thinking ahead to 2025 and trying to make it bigger and better. Download pictures here.
