The Deep Creek Association (DCCA) oversees the Neighborhood Watch Program in conjunction with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Department.  Our volunteers walk, bike or drive the area around their home and watch for suspicious activity.  When they notice activities that are not typical of their area, they contact the Sheriff’s Department.  Our volunteers do not try to obtain answers on their own.  If you take a walk everyday, your eyes could help prevent a burglary or you could keep tabs on someone who is ill or in distress.  An hour or two as you take your daily walk could make a huge difference.  All Deep Creek residents are welcome, so come to a meeting or reach out via email to learn what we’re all about.  We are always seeking additional volunteers and you can participate as little as one hour a month or as much as you like.
