Neighborhood Watch

Please welcome our new Neighborhood Watch Chair, Scott Phillips.  The Neighborhood Watch Committee meets on the second Tuesday of the month in Section 23 building at 6:00 P.M. If you take a walk every day, your eyes could prevent a burglary or you could keep tabs on someone who is ill or in distress. An hour or two as you take your daily walk could make a huge difference. Come in for refreshments and see what we’re all about.

The Deep Creek Civic Association oversees the Neighborhood Watch Program in conjunction with the Charlotte County Police Department. Our volunteers walk, bike or drive the area around their home and watch for suspicious activity. When they notice activities that are not typical of their area, they contact the police department. Our volunteers do not try to obtain answers on their own.

We are always seeking additional volunteers. You can participate as little as one hour a month or as much as you would like. We have magnetic signs for cars and tee shirts available for our volunteers.

At our next Deep Creek Happy Hour, we will have information on this program,  if you want to join our team.
